"I want to be in Ireland For the Summer".

This is the song sung by Mike Denver. It's not my "cup of tea", I confess. But It suits perfectly to the atmosphere in the lands which is quite different from the coasts. Farmers and breeders meet in the heart of cities for the summer fair in an atmosphere that seems friendly. We are surprised to see a strong and proud young man on his little mount who looks like a fairytale pony. It seems incongruous, but that's where the magic of reality lies.
Local and foreign vacationers, especially children, take advantage of this spectacle and the freedom given by this event to run in the streets, eat ice cream and do little mischief without consequences. A right to carefree.
I met Lorraine when I arrived in the city while I was walking there. She asked me to photograph her with her little girls on vacation. The next day, when I recognized the oldest of the girls in the fair, I met the great-grandmother and I photographed her. She explained to me that the family was dismembered in Europe, including some in France.
